LYONS LIONS CLUB
Lyons Lions Club was
started in 1986 by caring
individuals who wanted to
make a difference in the
community of Lyons. This
little community is located
on Hwy. 36 between
Burlington and Lake
Geneva. The club is made
up of 35 active members.
This club was one of the
first clubs in the state of
Wisconsin to have women
and men in the same club.
We strive as a club to
improve the health, the
education and the
environment for the people
of this community and
surrounding communities.
Lions are ages 19 and up.

LYONS LIONS CLUB CIVIC CENTER/PARK
This portion of the Lions Club was started 13 years ago
with a dream. The club was being bounced around from
place to place having their meetings. So we set a goal to
find land and build our own Club House. We looked for a
few years and finally found the right property. Our goals
were now becoming bigger, you see we purchased 33
acres of land over looking Lyons. With fund raisers and
hard work we paid off the land in 5 years. What in the world
were we going to do with all of this land? We unveiled
plans for the complex in May of 2000. These plans included
a Civic Center with a banquet hall and 10 athletic fields. So
we are making our land into a park for the community and
surrounding communities of Lyons to use with there
families. Our next step was to get help with this project, we
mean money help. So we started to apply for grants to help
with the whole project which was estimated around 3.5
million dollars. We haven't received any grants, so we
divided our large goal into smaller phases. Our first phase
will be putting in a road, parking lots, pavilions, baseball
diamonds, horseshoe pits and volleyball courts. Without
the help of grants or state aid, we as a club have been
doing various fund raisers to help accomplish our goal. We
greatly appreciate everyone's patience and the continued
monetary donations. If you can help in any way, contact
